Legos Duplo Farm Building Brick Sets For Toddlers

The first Duplo blocks were introduced in 1969 and were available in white, red, yellow, and blue. The original people figures were small 2 x 2 stud blocks with a swivel head. In 1983 the figures appeared with movable arms and legs. The name "Duplo" has been changed twice, once in 1977 in favor of Lego Preschool, and then again in 2002, when Duplo became Explore. Both times the company reverted back to the original name as they realized the Duplo branding had stuck in consumer's minds. Many of the original play sets have been revised throughout the history, and the Duplo Farm has had several updates, as well as the addition of compatible farm sets.
