    Mmmm, you are making me hungry. I made a lemon meringue pie recently for a friend's b-day...wow, what a lot of work and the darn meringue wouldn't thicken. After about 20 mins. of mixing, I said, good enough.

    My Dad (& so, of course, my daughter) is a HUGE fan of lemon meringue PIE (I don't do cupcakes, shocking, but true). I never thought to try to make it for him, but now I will! Great lens!

    I do like some of Martha's recipes, but some of them are just wrong, so I wouldn't feel too bad about the pie. Because I am assuming baking is something that you do all of the time, when you try a recipe and follow the directions precisely 3 times and it still fails, I feel it is safe to say that it is the recipe and not you. Loved the story!

    I don't bake any more... if I bake then I eat and I don't need to have too much around that I would have to eat. So, my treats are purchased in ones and twos... not baked in 6 - 12.

    I'm not into baking anymore, but your recipe sounds delicious! I'd take a sample if you wanted to bake them for me! I love pies, but have never tried lemon meringue. It was my dad's very favorite pie, though!

    This lens jumped out of your list for me because I just did my third lens, and it was on my not-completely-successful adventures inventing a lemon buttermilk wedding cake recipe!     I always request a lemon cake for my birthday, I think this year I will ask for these lemon cupcakes! My mom makes amazing lemon meringue pies. My downfall is rhubarb crisp. Like your pie, it is more soupy than crispy :)

    I love lemon curd. I have a similar "interesting" history with lime squares from Gale Gand's book--taste is off the charts WOW, but consistency very tricky to master. Even my mom, master baker, tried 'em and struggled. Lemon cupcakes, though--yum! a very happy ending. 5*****

    Hysterical! I've had a few mishaps myself in the kitchen so I can relate. I am NEVER going to try that pie! I would eat it but I would never attempt to make it.

    I'm all puckered up, my stomach is growling, and I'm wondering if there's a bakery within an hour's drive that has anything resembling your fabulous cupcakes. They look amazing, and your lens does, too. Love it!

    I adore lemon meringue pie. I never made it from fresh though but you can get some good packet mixes over here that taste almost as good and no soup effect! I love all the yellow in this lens.
