The Squidoo Lens Contest Badge Changes 

As you all know I love doing The Squidoo Lens Contest. However, there is alot more then you think. Each lens entered ends up getting the links moved 3 different times before it is totally finished and placed in the permanent spot.

Then there is delivering the badges. Right now I have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place badge. However, I know some people do not like to put there badge on their lens if it's not first place. I was wondering if you guys want to keep the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place badge or if we should just have one winners badge. Something like The Squidoo Lens Contest Award. This way there would be no worrying about who will use their badge, who won't use it, yada yada ya.

So my questions is keep the badges the way they are now or Change them to one simple badge? The winners will still be placed in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place on the winners page.

Determining the winners.... 

Another thing I wanted to bring up. Since there are so many lenses winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the same catagories (i.e. see the Product Reviews) I was thinking about coming up with a different formula.

If there is a tie, we coud move it over to the winners page and let readers vote on their favorites. For Instance, in the Birds in Flight winnings, instead of having all those 3rd place winners we could have 1! Put up a pole and let everyone vote for the best one and that one would receive 3rd Place.

However, if there are, lets say, 4 in 1st place, then we would let the readers vote on those. The best would get 1st, the next best 2nd and the next 3rd. The rest would be history.

So do you want to keep it the way it is, or really work on narrowing it down to 1 winner in each rank for each catagory?
