Inspired By Those Lensmasters Around Me
I love all of my fellow lensmasters and the community we create.
Every once in a great while I get inspiration from one of them and feel driven to create a lens in their honor. Most aren't lensographies of their work, but lenses that speak to those awesome lensmasters on some deeper level. Sometimes those lenses are a combination of both.

Inspired By Syd
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (SYD) was a song written about and for the founding member of Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett.
Enjoy!
The Most Motivating Lensmaster Of Them All
Michelle has no doubt been a tireless worker for the benefit of others at Squidoo since minute two of her lensmastership.
Since my tenure as a Fresh Squid, Michelle has "had my back" and watched over me. Lord, I don't know how she handled me, let alone the tens of dozens of others that have passed through her guiding hands.
Her whip is legendary, but to tell you the truth; it doesn't exist. She is the best friend I've had at Squidoo and I wish her happiness always.

Twitter can be the source of some really great inspiration as I found out one afternoon while cutting up with Michelle and Carol.
We had been playfully tossing swear words around and the conversation turned to one of children who swear. The very next day, I created this, one of my personal favorites.

Inspiration For The Ages
One of the greatest speeches ever given. One of the greatest actors of all time portraying one of history's greatest men.
Do You Ever........
Feel like creating lenses based on inspirations from other lensmasters? Or is the whole notion a waste of your time?
Have you, or would you ever create a lensmaster inspired lens?

No way! Too much energy to expend on someone else.
Yes, I either would do it, or I already have and here is my favorite lensmaster insppired lens....

Well I guess it has to be the lens I wrote for Chef Keem's 60th birthday! But my Squidoo Community Lens was inspired by the many lensmasters I have come to know and like on Squidoo.

Yes, I would do it and hope to do it soon actually. There are so many awesome lens writers here that sometimes ideas just POP when reading their pages. I love Squidoo!

I have couple lenses inspired by couple lensmasters. It's not hard to write a lens about someone whom you can look up to. And admire.

CCGAL
Janelle is one of the most chipper and up lensmasters at all times.
One night, we were up late horsing around on Twitter and poking fun at all the marketing tweets that were flooding across the stream. I have no Idea why, but I blurted out something about Twitter ~ The Musical, and this was born the very next day.
Margo_Arrowsmith
Margo posted a thread in the forum that stated she stumbled across a lensmaster that had 75 SquidWho lenses and not one of them had any original content. The were just Wikipedia (yuck) and whatever else the template threw in.
One thing led to another and a group of us decided to build our own celebrity lenses to counter the pure crap the other lensmaster published. Here are my two inspired contributions.

Ellen will always have a place in my heart. I have learned so much because of her generous giving of knowledge through her lenses.
Just before opening day of baseball season this year, I found out that she is a HUGE Dodgers fan. Funny thing, I was thinking about Kirk Gibson hobbling around the base paths about the same time. So, I created this lens and dedicated it to Ellen. As far as I know, she still has it in her forum signature.

An Inspired Future
Every purchase means you'll automatically be making a donation to Young Inventors International, supporting engineering and science students.
Doesn't that feel good?
Where Does It Come From?
Sometimes, I feel like I have no control over what it is I create. I just start painting and my entire life experiences take over. I give in and enjoy the ride.
Is inspiration like that for anyone else?

- Isn't it a wonderful feeling when you have the guidance of inspiration, muse, or whatever you may call it and the lens or other work is not forced? Some of these lensmasters have helped me through some less than inspired moments myself with their kindness and friendship. You have done the same for many including me, Alex. Thank you for everything :)
