Blondeheroine: The Lensography
Can't you just hear Don Lafontaine saying that? Okay, maybe not.
However, I became addicted to Squidoo earlier this year and have been busy making lenses ever since. These are some of my lenses. And I'm always working on them.
My Favorite Lens
And also a Lens of the Day pick

Not long after I published the lens, it was picked for Lens of the Day. I definitely feel like when you truly put your heart into something, you'll reap the rewards and this is definitely proof of that.
So take a look at my Jim Henson lens and learn more about the man behind Kermit!

My Movie Lenses
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
- I fell in love with Pirates of the Caribbean when I was a child. Okay, technically it was just an attraction then, but that love carried over to the film franchise. While I admit that the third film was not one of my favorites, I still can't help but love the characters and the world in which they reside.
- Rodriguez & Tarantino's Grindhouse
- I am a fan of both Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. For me, Grindhouse was one of the best movies of the year. Definitely not for everyone, this movie brought back a bit of the fun of cheesy cinema.
- The Golden Compass Movie
- I loved the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman and am equally excited about the upcoming film. Hopefully, that excitement is evident in this lens.
- Nim's Island
- I read the synopsis for this film and fell in love with the idea. I admit, I haven't read the book, but with the fantastic cast and the promise of a young adult fantasy that seems to include both a young adult storyline as well as a fully encompassing storyline about the adult characters, I am definitely excited.
- Get Smart the Movie
- I absolutely adore Steve Carell. The trailer for this movie promises a lot of comedy and a fun film. Will it live up to the promise? Who knows?
- Cloverfield Movie
- The much anticipated movie by J.J. Abrams. I was intrigued after seeing the trailer. I love apocalyptic films and this one, seemingly shot handheld, promises to be one heck of a ride.
- 30 Days of Night
- Here's a concept that, when I heard about my first thought was, "Why hasn't someone thought of this before?" The film takes place in Barrow, Alaska. Located in the extreme Northern Hemisphere, the town is plunged into darkness for 30 days.
- The Jane Austen Bookclub
- The Jane Austen Book Club is the film adaptation of Karen Jay Flower's book - wait for it - The Jane Austen Book Club. Is it a "chick flick?" Maybe. But with its stellar cast, who cares?
- Apocalyptic, Post-Apocalyptic and Dystopian Movies
- Perhaps I'm a bit masochistic, but I love a good apocalyptic film. Give me destruction, desolation or a good 'ol dystopia (in film, that is) and I'm a happy girl. This lens is a tribute to some of the best (and worst) films that show the world as a not so friendly place.
- Miss Liberty: The Statue of Liberty on Film
- Planet of the Apes. X-Men. The Day After Tomorrow. Even Ghostbusters 2. There seems to some fixation with Miss Liberty. On some level, it's understandable. She stands for what this country was meant to be. She's pretty. And she has a crown. Always a plus. But seriously, what's the deal?
- Movie Locations
- Ever wondered where you could find the locations that appeared in some of your favorite movies? The ones that weren't created on a soundstage that is? Well, here's a starting place. This is going to be an ongoing project, so be sure to keep checking back for more updates.
- The Wizard of OZ
- One of my favorite films of all time is MGM's The Wizard of OZ. Not only is it a visual masterpiece, but it has such a heartfelt, universal story that anyone can understand and love it. This lens is all about The Wizard of OZ. The film, the characters, the book that inspired the film. All of it.
I Heart Indiana Jones
One of my favorite movies ever is Raiders of the Lost Ark. So, understandably, I have quite a few Indy lenses.-

-
Indiana Jones is Better Than Han Solo! Don't get me wrong, Han Solo is made of awesome, but when it comes to Indy, he doesn't stand a chance! Indiana is both scholar and adventurer. Scoundrel and do-gooder. He knows how to use a whip and a gun, but h...

- The Haunted Mansion
- Remember the first time you rode The Haunted Mansion? I was a kid, so naturally, I covered my eyes (read: wimp). This lens is dedicated to what many consider to be Walt Disney's pet Imagineering project.Note: This lens has nothing to do with the Eddie Murphy film. We're all trying to forget that one.
