After being in healthcare marketing for 7 years, as of April 2009 I work for myself offering public relations services to those who don't have the time to do it, the words to say what they mean, or the know-how to keep up with the ever changing world of public relations. I'm Erin Al-Mehairi, writer and marketing and public relations freelancer and consultant.
After being in healthcare marketing for 7 years, as of April 2009 I work for myself offering public relations services to those who don't have the time to do it, the words to say what they mean, or the know-how to keep up with the ever changing world of public relations. I love all things PR! I am very happy to be able to try new social networking and pass on my experience to others.
I am very involved in my community on the United Way of Ashland County Board of Trustees, where among other duties I serve as secretary of the board, board marketing chair and the same for yearly campaigns, and chair the strategic planning committee. I am also on the Ashland University Alumni Association board of directors and on the public relations committee, the Ashland County Cancer Association board of trustees and serve on the public relations and fund-raising/finanance committees, and the newly formed leadership committee for the Ashland County Chapter of the American Red Cross. I am also very involved in my local Chamber of Commerce and am working on implementing a new business and professional women's club locally. In May, I will be inducted to the Ohio Federation of Business and Professional Women's State board of trustees.
I also represented the Ohio Federation of Business and Professional Women as their representative to the Young Careerist 2008 competition of the Business and Professional Women USA at their national conference.
