Hi, I'm Samantha. Welcome to my Squidoo lens. I'm a seventh grader at St. Andrew, the Apostle. I live in Silver Spring, Maryland. I love playing the piano, and I'm crazy about animals. When I was a toddler, I used to entertain my family by making animal sounds -- frogs and lions were my specialty--that's what they tell me.

Hi, I'm Samantha. Welcome to my Squidoo lens. I'm a seventh grader at St. Andrew, the Apostle. I live in Silver Spring, Maryland. I love playing the piano, and I'm crazy about animals. When I was a toddler, I used to entertain my family by making animal sounds -- frogs and lions were my specialty--that's what they tell me.
Both my parents are from Eritrea. My mother left Eritrea when she was 15 and came to America to live with her father and her aunt. My father escaped from Eritrea later and first went to Germany, then to England. My mother went to England to study. My dad and mom got married in England and came to the United States from London. I wasn't born yet, but they did bring back our first dog Fido, a Yorkie.
My favorite school subjects are "specials" like art and PE. But I love religion and science.

origami, playing piano and pianolessons, singing in church choir/karaoke, outdoor activities, WII; book - "Night of the Howling Wolf;" tv show - "Icarly;" favorite restaurant: Chipotle -- love that place and the burrito bowl. Animals: dogs and hamsters.
This winter --2009-- I went snowtubing several times with friends and family and to the Medieval Festival with my dad. I also saw President Obama at Baltimore just before his inauguration.
My family has visited the Inner Harbor at Baltimore, Disney World, London, Austria, Niagara Falls, Santo Domingo and Pennsylvania. My grandmother lives in London and my great-grandmother lives in Pennsylvania.
Sometimes I sing karaoke at Savannah's in Wheaton, Maryland -- I'm the only kid there. Some of the songs I sing are "There's Hope," by India Arie, Disturbia by Rhianna, and Heaven by Los Lonely Boys.
My dream vacation would be to go to Hawaii.
