Hey there! My name is Jeff Arrowood. I am a Catholic educator and a moral theologian with a master's degree in theological studies. I am currently a stay-at-home father for two beautiful adopted children. Before our first adoption I taught for ten years at a Catholic high school. While I'm home I am writing a website on Catholic teaching that focuses on moral theology but includes a lot more and a blog that applies Catholic moral principles to current events. I also run an online Catholic bookstore and sell Catholic books out of my home. The goal of all of this activity is to help increase Catholic literacy so that more people can discover the joy of the truth found in the Catholic faith.
Welcome to the Abbey!
The Abbey is my educational site where I write articles and create interactive content to teach about Catholic doctrine and moral theology. Explore the rooms and learn about the faith.

Gaudium Veritatis blog
"The Joy of Truth" is the blog of the From the Abbey apostolate. Its purpose is to look at daily events through the lens of the Catholic intellectual tradition.
My credo: Joy of the Truth Read, think, write and act. Learn how to think clearly and reason solidly. Live reflectively and deeply. Find freedom and joy in the truth. Find fulfillment in living selfless love. That's the Catholic intellectual tradition!
