About Me

David Holmes is a Digital Curator and Content Creator focusing on Internet Music, Open Content and Social Media.

A former sound engineer and indie studio manager, David is passionate about using the Internet to empower musicians. He is a strong advocate of Free Culture and Open Music.

David is a founding curator of the Open Media Directory, a clearinghouse for sources of legal, podsafe audio and video at Ourmedia.org.

He is also creator of Open Music Search - a Google custom search engine indexing dozens of copyleft music resources. Use it to find reusable media, collaborative projects and free music tools.

His blog, Dave's Imaginary Sound Space, has twice been listed on Microsoft's Best of Windows Live Spaces website.

He currently lives in London and amongst other things pursues interests in amateur photography and playing guitar. He also enjoys regular trips to charity shops and pubs, often combining both!
