Hi! My name is Rebecca Rizzuti (most people just call me Becki). I am a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, and an adoptee. I am an aspiring writer.

When I first came to Squidoo it was because I was looking for an outlet for my less serious writings. At the time I had been posting my more serious articles on my Hubpages account. The stress of chasing Hubscore and Adsense earnings had become overwhelming, and I found that I was disgusted with the keyword research that proved nothing and helped me little. I wanted a break, and to find a place where I could just go ahead and be me while at the same time exploring new topics that were near and dear to my heart.

When I first joined Squidoo I didn't believe that creating a lens could possibly be so much work! I figured that I could come in and write a "quickie" article about Storytelling in The Sims 2 and move on to the next subject. Accustomed to blogging and to Hubpages (which has a significantly simpler process), I figured that I could open a new lens, throw in a couple of pictures and write some text.

Squidoo doesn't really work that way and I found that while I completed the lens, I walked away discouraged. It wasn't ranking well, and I didn't really understand lensrank. I wasn't doing well. In fact, that one lens made no money whatsoever.

I did the easy thing: I headed back to writing at Hubpages, and working on my own blog. Squidoo didn't occur to me again until I had an idea that it might be interesting to write a series of informative articles about historical females.

I headed back over here to Squidoo and began writing. Because the increased number of modules also means in some ways increased flexibility, the format worked very well for my first lens about Anne Sullivan Macy.

Since that time I have watched the lens rank on that particular lens rise and rise, and it has been a gratifying experience. It is good to know that others are interested in these amazing women, and that I can serve the community by providing valuable information. Squidoo has become quite a gratifying experience!

Over time, I've begun to realize that what they say is true: "You can never write just one!"
