After over a decade in California for career opportunity (??) I came back to Colorado about 5 years ago.  It didn't take long for me to discover the chile roasters that appear along the side of the road around August-October.  Since then, each year I've bought more bushels and expanded my cooking with green chile experiments.  I've also been trying to find the "best" place to buy my roasted green chiles each year.

So ... in 2006, I decided to put my findings up on a web site.  I figured if I'm looking for this information, others must be too. That was the birth of http://denvergreenchili.com.  Since then I've gotten great feedback and interesting requests. 

I now produce a "Recipe of the Week" and I'm discovering that green chiles are a deeply ingrained part of the Colorado culture.  I've also discovered that Colorado is a major grower of chiles.  They aren't all from Hatch!  I've also found that some people specifically want Colorado chiles.

I hope to share many recipes and tips here.
