The author, James English,  is a sales and marketing  professional who holds a  Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration  degree from The Ohio State University.  He is a seasoned sales and marketing executive with over 26 years of very successful sales and sales management experience with two major Fortune 500 companies and holds many awards and achievement records with both companies . Married 26 years and with three children-- then in college, the last thing he expected or needed was to be   laid-off.   When his company restructured/ downsized and laid-off 32 people in one day, he went from  a six figure income to zero income!  Feeling as though he was not done working; and with retirement out of the question what followed was a very traumatic and, financially devastating experience!   

Looking for a new job/career in middle-age with high overhead and a strong need to replace a six -figure income is very difficult!  After much trial and error, he has successfully reinvented himself and is now an independent entrepreneur and  has replaced his previous income. 

He beleives his experiences may help middle aged executives/professionals who are facing job change or career change in middle-age or will face similar circumstances in the future.  He believes proper planning is critical.
