I started making music related lenses because that's my greatest interest in life and I enjoy live music, especially classic rock. If you check out my list of Squidoo lenses you'll see I've covered many concert tours over the last few years.

As time went on I realized that I was actually being paid a nice sum each month from Squidoo directly and also by affiliate programs which I added to my sites over time.

Many people have asked how I now choose my topics to construct a lenses around here on Squidoo and truthfully I only use one program which helps me identify topics that get lots of search engine traffic and which keywords to use that are low in competition.

I simply run my ideas through Market Samurai and the software tells me:

What markets are worth targeting;
What markets are worth avoiding;
Which keywords you should focus on for fast results;
Which keywords should be avoided;
Which markets have weak competition;
Which markets show impossible levels of competition;
What are the chances of achieving front-page rankings for a keyword;
What topics you should write articles on for your website;
Where to find quality backlinks;
How many backlinks you need;
What quality backlinks you need;
How to determine the quality of a page for a backlink;
...and so much more!

I tried it out for the free trial period and was sold immediately because it saved me so much time and focused in on the exact keywords I needed to use to get loads of traffic right away.
