For four years John have served as the Senior Editor for the Christian Writers Guild and Writing Assistant to Jerry B. Jenkins. John was acknowledged for research in Glorious Appearing, The Regime, Soon, Silenced, Shadowed, Holding Heaven, Writing for the Soul, John's Story, and Hedges, where he authored the Study Guide.
A journalism major with an English minor from the University of Arizona, John earned a Juris Doctorate and became a licensed attorney. He served with Focus on the Family for almost 12 years in various editorial/writing/management roles including Director of Online Editorial for nearly two years. While at Focus, John hired, trained and mentored Dr. Dobson's team of personal writers, and served as Special Assistant to Dr. Dobson, helping with numerous writing projects.
John has reviewed books, written magazine articles, done copyrighting, mentored writing students, prepared speeches, created radio commentaries, and serves as the orientation speaker at the annual February Writing for the Soul Conference hosted by the Christian Writers Guild at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs.
