Hello world, you can think of me first as "BirdGirl", or "Chick-a-dee Magnet", since my life has been filled with the love and rescue of our feathered friends, primarily in the parrot family, but outdoor native rescues, as well.

Parrots fill up my heart and make me laugh, so they are my first love and you'll see many lenses devoted to them - including some of the funniest, and saddest, stories ever.

Aside from 'birdies', I have lived a fairly unconventional life that includes selling all my possessions a couple of times over and traveling the country in an RV. But also, I've been an extremely hard worker and responsible corporate career person and entrepreuner. I've worked with amazing companies with the highest ethical values, like Apple Computer and SCI (the largest funeral provider worldwide).

I've had the opportunity to learn from some of the best mentors one could meet; and as well, been put in my place more than once with lessons demanding my attention (oh, those embarrassing moments).

I love life and simply want to share my ideas and experiences with others; as I also learn from all of you here on Squidoo.
