My Bio
I write about camping and video editing. Of course they are related. Most of the videos I end up with are of my family experiencing the outdoors. Most of the video equipment I buy I justify with capturing priceless family outings, gatherings, etc...

Still hanging on to VHS, mini-DV and film reels you found in your grandfather's attic? PULEEEASE. You know those things have a shelf life, right? What are you waiting for? Waiting for the magnetic media to blank out? Get them transferred to digital so you can preserve those memories that you or your forefathers intended to do in the first place.

A portable DVD player to watch the Adams Family in the tent? Eggs Benedict for breakfast? Geocaching side trips? Electric scooter to zip to the camp store for a Dove ice cream bar? Brilliant, I say.
Welcome to 21st century camping. iPods allowed.
