I gathered my information on writer William Monahan's Dining Late with Claude La Badarian by diligently combing the web and the New York Public Library's archives of New York Press. My article about journalist Alan Cabal came about after extensive online research and many emails with Alan Cabal who has confirmed the facts presented. My method is to link to a source if it is available on the web, or include the source at the end of the sentence if it is only available in print or through specialized archive services. I leave notes when you mouse-over a link (well, this functionality is incomplete so far) so that you can get an idea of what the source is about. I am trying to provide as much annotation as I can so that you can verify the facts presented in my Squidoo lenses.
