My Bio

I have had an interest in art and drawing as long as I can remember. I had a cousin who was a professional artist that took me under her wing when I was about ten years old. Art was still part of my life though. Off and on, I would take up pencil, pen or paints and try to create something that would be pleasing to my eye. Unfortunately that was difficult to do. I was by far my worst critic and was always afraid to show my work to anyone other than friends or family.

In the early 1990's I began to paint again using the wet on wet techniques that were being taught by Alexander and Bob Ross. In 1994, I discovered Paint Shop Pro and with my wife Judy put together a web site that offered free graphics to "Internet Christian Missionaries". That web site is still in existence today and is totally funded by my art sales.

Painter Essentials was a godsend, because it allowed me to create art quickly from photographs. It was fun to take what otherwise may have been a photographic reject and create something that was a work of art. I have been able to utilize both my drawings and photography to create unique art that others have found of interest.
