I was born at home in Hanworth, Middlesex on the 8th of May 1950. I attended Chiswick Grammar School and was a lazy student, only coming away with 'O' Level French. I Joined the Army at age 16 as an apprentice and left as a Sergeant Aircraft Technician in May 1980. I immediately joined Lincolnshire Police and after two years became firearms trained. In 1987 I joined the Firearms Support Group and qualified as a Firearms Instructor. I did occasional attachments at headquarters in that capacity. I also completed national courses as a Rifle Markssman and VIP Protection Officer. The Group was part time but trained every month. I retired from the Police in August 2002.
