I got into transcription accidentally over twenty five years ago, but knew almost immediately I had found my professional calling. I have owned my own medical transcription service for the past ten years, after working for a variety of hospitals and national services in the years prior to that.

I have mentored other transcriptionists, worked in a supervisory position in a hospital transcription unit, and edited others' work. I've worked for state-of-the-art teaching hospitals, trauma facilities and specialized clinics, large and small practices.

I have worked in many areas of the transcription field, including orthopedics, oncology, cardiology as well as cardiodiagnostics, pulmonology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, general practice, traditional and highly specialized fields of medicine at the acute care as well as university teaching level - you name it, I've done it. I can't think of anything that I haven't transcribed at one time or another.
