Hello world. My name is Pamela. I live in Southern Missouri with my dear Husband and his oldest son (26 y.o.), who is severely handicapped.
{We were both married before. I was married to, and survived getting away from, an abusive alcoholic. I have one son, my pride and joy, who is attending College in the Culinary Arts. He got his love of cooking from me. Early on we would play "Identify the ingredients in this dish" and the one not cooking would identify everything in it including herbs, spices, salt & pepper! He's continually on the Dean's list, in Who's Who, Honor Roll & Society locally, Nationally and Internationally. He is a member by special request to Phi Theta Kappa. He was chosen out of all the students in the school to represent our area in a Statewide cook off. My husband had two sons, one mentioned above, and the youngest who is married to a fine young lady (both of whom are currently furthering their educations) and they have blessed us with two grandchildren, a boy and a girl, whom this Grammy loves to spoil!. All our children(excepting the one) live in another State-which is one thing this Grammy doesn't like ;).}

I like cooking, gardening, reading, watching some movies, and some tv. We live in the forest, and I love to feed the deer, turkey, birds, foxes and other animals.
All our animals are rescues. We have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 cows and some chickens. My long term goal is to be self sufficient with solar panels and wind generators for our power needs.
I also enjoy using my time working online in several venues with people like me who find that suddenly they are disabled and have no information, or very little, about their condition. It's hard enough to learn you are suddenly disabled, especially mentally, but then to find that you can't even get any information on the conditions....stressing! I am an active member of mdjunction (www.mdjunction.com) which helps people of so many conditions to get the help and support they need. I have also made a help web site www.invisABLEillness.com, to get the information out on many of the "InvisABLE Illnesses". I have talked and 'counseled' with many people and am filled with joy when they tell me how much I or my website have helped them.
I love to meet new people. (And I must tell you up front, it will take a few times of regular conversation to "know you". Until then, you are "new" to me every time. Or if we don't talk for awhile. So please don't think I'm rude, it's just how my brain is now.) So please, by all means if you feel like talking to me, drop me a note, I love to talk. :D
