I began my business, Picture Ohio, LLC, in 2003 and I have never once looked back. I create and sell fine art prints of my own work, as well as stock image rights, as well as provide complete commercial photography services and editorial photography assignments.
I've tried the corporate thing for 15+ years, working mostly in marketing communications and public relations. I've worked in the following industries, in Ohio, South Carolina and Utah: textile leasing, shopping malls, financial, health care and manufacturing.
I even tried teaching for a while as an adjunct in speech communications and journalism.
Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Management from the University of Dayton and a Master of Professional Communication from Westminster College of Salt Lake City.
I write on the side and in my blog, however, I've experienced a much higher rate of success at having my photographs published versus my writing.
