Thanks for stopping by. Do you have a friend with a parrot? Are you a bird lover? The African Grey is a great companion for any age. The ability to mimic any sound they choose. From music to a whistle they are sure to be a big hit at your next Holiday gathering. There is also a yellow canary, Sparky, who sings his little heart out when in the mood. Usually , loud music will get him going. Then there are the 3 little Gouldian finches . One is a male and his song is very soft. He will react to me singing a song or a whistle. Of course there is one more entertaining bird in the household. Bud is a yellow and white , male cockatiel. Bud whistles and says a few words and plays peek-a-boo. I mentioned Scruffy earlier. He is a cairn terrier, and full of zip. Afraid I have done a poor job training him so far. It seems he is always a thought or step ahead of me, and runs a lot faster. This breed has an attitude, for sure. But I won't give up. He's a year and a half and is showing some signs of growing up. At least he will look at me and tilt his head when I am talking to him. He learned some commands like roll over, sit, lay down, find your bone and he runs like crazy when I ask if he wants a BATH. There are several hobbies I enjoy and they are a great way to make home made gifts , clothing or useful items for my home. The Raggedy Ann dolls I sewed for the grand daughters were a hit, along with the log cabin quilted pot holders for adults. And the Spiderman 14" bed pillows were loved by the little grandsons. I have crocheted and knitted and have a collection of Santa counted cross-stitch pictures that go up in December. My computer is stuffed with photos I've taken through the years. I wish I had picked photography as my goal, when in high school in the 50's. One year, I got out my saws, drill and hammer and made all Christmas gifts out of wood. I had a small part of my parents old picket fence and made corner shelves and benches . I found some Cherry wood for the pie shaped shelf for the corner stand. There is a woodshop near our airport in town, that has beautiful woods on hand. Now you know more about who I am and what moves me. I love my 3 married sons and their family's. Life is wonderful, we must enjoy this little space we have on Earth, for the short time we are here. PS. I have some video clips on youtube. 1940123 is my name please come see Ellie Mae in action. God Bless
