About Me

Hi, thank you for dropping by my corner on Squidoo. Vintage and retro things have been a part of my life ever since I can remember! My mom used to take me to antiques stores before I could even walk. I probably napped in my stroller the entire time my mom shopped, and when I got a little older, I whined about how bored I was and wanted to leave. Now when I see a flea market or any place that sells antiques, it seems my car goes on auto pilot and pulls right up to the front door of whatever shop has cute, little kitchy knick-knacks, weathered garden furniture or shiny, mahogany curved-leg furniture. It doesn't matter if I am going to buy anything or not. I have to look! I love anything old -- from cars, houses, buildings, dishes, kitchen appliances, fabric and even old farm equipment catches my eye. Most of my furniture and dust collectors are old, but I still haven't created that overall "vintage-style" look that is so popular and that I love so much, but I'm working on it! One of my biggest dreams and goals in life is to have a two or three-story Victorian house. Not the gingerbread style, but more of a creepy, spooky gothic Victorian house with a wrought iron fence going all the way around the house. I have wanted one of those old houses since I watched my first horror movie on TV when I was about knee high! Since I am so crazy about nostalgic things, I came up with the name, "Retro Loco!™", where I sell other people's retro stuff, and I sell some of my own retro artwork. I have more retro art in the making, and I can't wait to finish it and show it on my online store. My online store is a work in progress, and I am a self-taught web designer, so please bear with me as I finish my websites.
