I started printing t-shirts in the late seventies for local bands. This led to larger bands and became a business that I am still in nearly thirty years later.

Smiling Ogre was a nickname that sales people called me because I spent so much time leaning over the screen print presses. Being more interested in getting the work done than having small talk with them, I would just look up, smile and get back to work.

One of the things that I love about the t-shirt business is that just about anyone can become a t-shirt entrepreneur if they have the will and the determination. It takes hard work but a large investment is not necessary. Traditional methods of marketing still work well and the internet offers great opportunity and all sorts of new ways to market your products.
