The reason that I created this Squidoo Lens is because after working for 20 years in a JOB (just beyond broke) in the finance industry I decided to find a home business opportunity that would let me fire my boss and be home with my kids and make a 6 figure income. Well what I found was a lot of promises and not a lot of results.
After a year and half of struggling, many hours of reading, learning how to do things I never wanted to learn and spending several thousand dollars I did find the formula that I knew was out there somewhere.

I am completely addicted to personal development programs. I just can't get enough of it. Books, movies, CD's, seminars you name it I've done it and still do. When I was in my 20's I decided that I wanted to live life to the fullest and I wasn't back then. Actually I was a very negative person back then. I let my negative thoughts create my life and I didn't know then that I had the power to change it all.
You see I believe that life is not about "finding" yourself, it's about "creating" yourself. Each one of us has unlimited power and potential if we just allow it. Well over the years I have studied many different self help techniques and I can truly say that I am a better person because of it. As many of us I didn't have the best childhood and it was an uphill battle to overcome but boy am I glad I did.
I am happy to say that my life is exactly what I want it to be. I am married to a wonderful man who is my soul mate and our love only gets stronger which is hard to believe I know but it's true. I have two beautiful daughters who mean the world to me and who inspire me to be a better person everyday. Because of them I was brave enough to leave my job and start my home based business. Life is good...
When I joined my first home business opportunity I had no idea of what I was getting into. I really struggled that first year. The amount of information out there online is staggering. The only problem is that none of it really gave me a solution. I mean I would learn something from everything I read but there was no silver bullet. What I discovered was that you need to have 3 things if you are going to make 6 figures or more.
You need to have the right opportunity. Not an MLM, they only pay very small amounts and that is ok for residual income but not for your main source of income that will make it possible to quit your job. You need to be in a top tier program that pays $1000 per sale or more.
You also need to learn how to brand yourself. Don't sell you business sell YOU. That is where a lot of people go wrong in this industry.
You will also need a solid marketing plan and the tools to do it. Find a step by step system that will help you get everything in one place. When I finally created my own training system that I could plug my team into that's when it all fell into place for me.
