I am a semi retired Green Keeper, Course Superintendent, Gardener of Golf courses. I started my career as a Land Surveyor in the then Rhodesia. Translocated to South Africa and continued in my chosen career. Decided to try farming in the Lydenburg district and discovered that I had not saved sufficient money before starting. After five years started in the garden business, as well as keeping the greens on the golf course. My business serviced the mining industry and their gardens. Later became a full time Green Keep in Natal, at which time I started to develop a computer program for use on the course. Over the years I improved the program and started to show major savings (It is a financial analytical program). I am now working with a computer programming company whilst they encode and further improve my idea. I find I have time on my hands whilst they develop the program. I am writing a book on green keeping, and at the same time honing my skills by writing articles. Hope the program and book make me wealthy, so I can officially retire and write full time.
