My name is Diana Parker and I live in Upstate New York, USA. I started out making jewelry and have opened my own business called Natural Earth Jewelry. I've branched into mixed media, collage, paper and fiber art, altered books and journals, and I'm in the process of building a website at the same time that I'm building a home art studio on a strict budget.

I decided that having a Squidoo lens would be a great way to get the word out about all the common items that I have used, and you can use too, in your art to cut costs and allow you to:

1. save money to spend on those special "extras" that you can only get at craft stores
2. save your personal time for actually creating art, not just shopping for it!
