My name is Emilia Klapp. I was born and raised in Spain and I currently share my time between Los Angeles, California and Madrid, Spain, where I am at the present time. I graduated Cum Laude from California State University of Los Angeles with a Bachelor in Nutrition Science. I am also certified as a Registered Dietitian by the American Dietetic Association.
My company, Preventive Nutrition Press, was founded in 2006 and it is dedicated to the prevention of chronic diseases.
I firmly believe in preventing desease and not waiting until the harm is done to our bodies. I have dedicated my life to counseling people on the prevention and management of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, weight control, Alzheimer's, as well as many other health conditions. I also conduct classes and seminars on heart disease, diabetes, weight control, Azheimer's, and general preventive nutrition. What you will find in my website is common sense advice to prevent many chronic diseases or to manage them if you are already there.
I am the author of
Your Heart Needs the Mediterranean Diet
Learn How Mediterraneans Have Kept a Healthy Heart for Centuries
an innovative book written as a dialogue between the patient and the dietitian. Through the book chapters, the patient, diagnosed with high cholesterol and high blood pressure, is taken step by step on how to apply the principles of a Mediterranean lifestyle to reverse his health condition. The patient learns about a lyfestyle that not only revolves about the right nutrion for him but also about cooking, sharing meals and activities with his family, his friends, his co-workers, his community and about how to reduce stress. In sum, a different lyfestyle from his previous one that little by little makes him a healthier and happier person.
My websites:

2. www.mediterraneanDietForTheHeart.com
