Hello world.  Grandpa Jim & Logan saying HOWDY!  We live on the beautiful Florida Suncoast!  We heard about Squidoo through the OsiRockstars.com website, where we are Roadie Promoter & Manager.  Just learning our way around Squidoo and finding it GREAT!

I, Jim, was born in Celina, Ohio, grew up in St. Mary's, Ohio but have lived in Florida since 1958! (50 years.... how the time does fly!)  Graduated from Palmetto High School in 1962, married the love of my life in 1964.  We have two wonderful sons, six grandchildren and of course our "bonus" family member, Logan, our Golden Retriever. 

Logan is a hurricane-rescued Golden and has a few "quirks" from his days and days of wandering the beaches and shores, but he is a gift to us and such a special member of our busy household!  Don't know where or when he was born, but his vet thinks he was about four when we rescued him 2 years ago.  She offers that his eye teeth were ground down probably from eating driftwood on the beach and part of one ear is missing probably from another dog.

I, Jim,  enjoy fishing, boating, camping and sitting on the front porch early mornings as well as working on our acre of flora and fauna. We have many native plantings and a butterfly garden with beautiful hummingbirds and many species of butterflies!  We often see bobcats, otters, red foxes, possums, armadillo, squirrels.  Many species of birds are attracted to our feeders and birdbaths.  Nothing like watching those beautiful cardinals take a early morning bath as you eat breakfast!  Of course, have some gators in the lake behind the house...it's Florida, you know! 

 Most of my working "life" has been spent in retail sales and management.  Went into business for myself in the early 1970s with an antique furniture restoration business, which then evolved into an antiques shop, "Grandpa's Trading Company", for 20+ years.  Traveled the country doing antiques shows for 10 of those 20 years.  Began selling on ebay in 1997, replaced that with some of my shows.  Have sold the antiques store, now am located in an antiques mall in Ellenton, Florida (Magnolia Antiques Mall) and of course, still selling on ebay. 

Excited to come on board here at Squidoo and learn a new" skill".
