Hi there everyone! For more than 25 years I have been fascinated with intuition. I have studied and taught it from many angles and it continues to amaze me. With Squidoo, I can learn and share what I've learned in an exciting new way. I will present lenses on intuition that are humorous, quirky and fun. I believe laughter and fun can oil the joints of our intuition, making it easier to tune-in to. I have more 'professional' sounding articles else where; Squidoo is reserved for my 'lighter' explorations.
In 1997 I turned my part-time passion into a full time career as an intuition coach and consultant. The people who weren't aware of my 'side job' thought I was crazy; the professional career I left was being a museum art curator. I have never looked back. I love what I do and have always had a gift for knowing. Even as a child, I always knew what people wanted, where the cat was hiding or when a family member was sick or had passed away.
At the age of five, I remember asking for a deck of "real fortune telling cards." My family was mystified as to why, but my grandmother bought me some anyway. I can remember sitting down on the floor with all the cards spread around me, trying to remember how to use them. It was as if I had known how to read them at some other time but just couldn't recall the process.
I understand the struggle to listen to intuition because as I grew older, I began to doubt that what I could do was real. In my junior year in college, I was on a scholarship abroad when a woman offered to read my cards. She told me many specific things she could not have known. At the end, she told me that I knew how to read cards and found it odd that she had felt compelled to read them for me and refused payment. That was when I knew that my gift, which I had been scoffing at, was real and I began studying.
I have been mentored and trained by some of the most gifted from Africa, India, Tibet and the US-and it has been quite the journey of self discovery. Once I embraced my gift and used it to help others get in touch with their own inner knowing, my way was clear. I now offer intuitive coaching both for individuals and for companies, both by phone and in person. As well, I travel around the country teaching classes and workshops on accessing and trusting your intuition and on using Tarot as a tool for understanding oneself.
I recently launched my website, http://www.Youknow.net, to reach a broader audience. I am excited to be here on Squidoo to be able to focus lenses on what I have gleaned about intuition and guidance in a playful way. I hope that you will enjoyably learn a lot, as I look forward to learning from the Squidoo community.
