John Dilbeck lives in the mountains of western North Carolina, near the small town of Murphy. He loves living in the southern Appalachian mountains, where he avoids the noise, congestion, traffic and other big city hassles that waste time and energy.

Murphy, North Carolina abounds in scenic splendor, as you would expect from an area only an hour's drive from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
