I've always longed to be a writer, but I let the chores of keeping up with life hold me back. Through a weird twist of fate an unfortunate event turned out to be an opportunity to spend time doing what I love. I'm living with the consequences of a botched hip replacement operation last year which left me with nerve damage.

What can I do now that I spend most of my time sitting home, out of work? Well, I can't really garden, but I can write about it. The biggest delight, however is that I've found outlets for my writing. I can write on Associated Content, Helium, Squidoo and my own blog.
