Shane McElveen is Creative Director of Shane McElveen Studios, LLC, as well as a Marketing Production Coordinator with IMD (Media General's Interactive Media Division). One of his recently designed web ads earned a 50% higher user viewing yield than national brand web ads located on the same site. Shane has recently received awards from the South Carolina Press Association for his print ad design work. Shane's personal qualifications include nine years of experience designing logos/identities, book covers, print & web ads, brochures and package design for a range of clients and employers. Shane has earned an outstanding reputation for commitment and courtesy amongst his clientele, and remains a valued source of creative ideas and impressive results. Shane received his BA in Graphic Design from Coker College.

(Now that that's over, my personal summary)
I'm a graphic designer by day, as well as an illustrator/writer and a dabbling singer/songwriter. I'm an old soul with an amalgamated accent, born and raised in South Carolina. I've lived in TN, and I've traveled much further, with plans to travel everywhere I get a chance to, health and cash flow allowing during this lifetime. I love trying new things. I'm a kid at heart and a dad by God's grace. I'm divorced with two amazing kids (a brave knight and a "telligent" princess). I'm a sci-fi/fantasy/movie geek, and I can be a tad offbeat most of time, but I can also be one of the most down-to-earth, genuine people you'd ever care to meet. Yes, I am a pirate a few hundred years too late.

I am spiritual, but not religious. I am an open-minded listener. I can be either extremely outgoing (when I'm very comfortable) or shy (when I'm alone around a large group of complete strangers.) I love hosting parties and going out with friends, but I despise clubs (not my scene). I can be flirtatious, and I've been called witty...not sure about that one, but I do love to make people laugh. My friends call me a warrior poet. I (rather indulgently) think of myself as a wannabe chivalric knight on a mission to find my grail. I work every day toward being genuinely and completely me; I am a unique creature.
