Working for Stratford University (an American university)as an International Education Advisor, I currently live abroad to educate and offer guidance to international students, universities and organizations about higher education in the U.S. and how Stratford fits into all of that.

Students traveling from foreign countries to places such as America, have validated questions and concerns about the student visa process, finding people they can relate to culturally in America, finances and housing.

One way I've started addressing some of these concerns more globally is by keeping a blog that acts somewhat as a guide for future international students. Other ways include more personal interactions such as giving presentations, attending education expos and meeting personally with students.

Working in another country is extremely interesting and loads of fun; however, I find that I'm always learning new things in the education field and enjoy learning from others. I welcome any advice other educational professionals have to give and hope I can also share some of my experiences and tips I've picked up along the way!
