In 1986 ...
I moved into a small town in Southern California purchasing my first home, my home is located on a corner lot with lot's of exposure, it was my very first Halloween, 1000's of people came to my door Trick or Treating, and in no time ... I ran out of over 2000 + pieces of candy, so I said to myself, "what can I do to make the candy last longer"?
The very next year ... I purchased a super scary Halloween CD, darkened my front door entrance and laid on the floor in baggy clothes with a brown paper bag over my head in hopes that no one would see me, the results were fantastic.
A) People were terrified of the monster laying on the ground, he was too scary and everyone ran off.
B) The scary CD did it's job by creating a super scary environment.
I was super pleased.
In 1987, a friend said to me (after our recent Haunted House Event), "I heard someone say", ... "That was the scary house on the corner, huh"? ... as they pointed at my house.
So every year thereafter; I could not wait to "Scare more people", ... You can say it became an obsession ... I began looking for the right props, sounds, light effects, masks and black lights, anything I could get my hands on.
In 1988, I began using my Web DeZine skills (I Have been Dezining web sites since 1991), by creating and manipulating all kinds of sounds; I used various programs that I still use today to create some of our spooky sounds ... Some of these programs are.

Since then ... I have been creating professional Haunted House sounds and providing them to people and Haunted Houses from all corners of the earth.
In 2004 ... I recorded some additional spooky sounds in my (24) track studio, burned them to a CD for my Haunted House and EVERYONE wanted one ... I ended up giving away my first (25) copies.
In 2005 ... The Scare Factory was born, The Scare Factory specializes in Professional Haunted House sounds for the Halloween market.
In 2010 ...I Have recently added more Professional Halloween related products, Special Effects, Hologram FX, Scream Scene, Masks and more.
