Hello world. This is my bio. My life began when I put my foot on the North American Continent. You see, I came from Ukraine, which at that time belonged to the Soviet Union, known as the "Workers' Paradise", which as the world now knows was the biggest deceit of the Millennium.
My Father's ancestors were musketeers for centuries, so it was natural for them to be officers in the White Army under the Czar and that was enough reason for the Communists to eliminate the Family. My father was also marked to be shot but by luck or father's prudence he escaped to a big city and was able to get "lost" amongst the construction workers and in the rooming houses.
I was born during those turmoil years and my life was a turmoil for a long time to come. To cover up the past we had to move from one rooming house to another and from one city to another every few month, for we really lived illegally. It was possible to do so at the time of the chaos in that Country for the citizens, the workers were not registered as yet. We lived in terror, but still we were alive and I hoped and prayed (which was against the law) for a better future, which came when I came to Canada to enjoy a Free Life.
I am on the way to the bright future. So far, about 10 years ago, I wrote a book about a 200 year old tree: "The Old Oak Tree", which was declared "out-dated by the city planers but the citizens of this Region did not think so: they protested and the tree still grows along the Lake Ontario, Canada, right across from Rochester, N.Y., U.S.A. There is also a section of the history of this Region. In time I would like to make this book into an eBook
The place where the tree and I "live" used to be an Ammunition Plant built by the Defence Industries Limited (D.I.L.), which manufactured shells during the Second World War for the Allies - this was a great contribution to the war efforts.
In the year 1942 the inhabitants of this new community decided to honor the light Cruiser HMS AJAX, (6" guns), which in December of 1939, together with two other British cruisers, disabled the feared German Battleship "Graf Spee" in the Atlantic, by the River Platte (Rio de la Plata), Uruguay.
I am working now on my autobiographical (historical) Memoirs, which I hope to finish soon.
Oh, and please leave a note for me, a comment. Thanks again.
