I have been a brain injury survivor over 10 years. I have experienced many ups and downs that are common to others survivors, and have done extensive research a long the way. I have volunteered in various roles and have facilitated a Brain Injury Coalition that brought professionals and survivors together to pool their information. I have also coordinated the Families Share program (a mentor program) for the Brain Injury Association of Tennessee. I have learned of many different services that the government provides for people with disabilities as a graduate of the Partners in Policy Making program. There are many professionals in this field and many survivors of brain injury, but there are only a few who can say they are both. I feel that I can give a unique perspective to many aspects of brain injury.
