About the Author - The better part of my life has been devoted to some form of self defense or defense related activity. As a teen, I studied Tae Kwon Do for over three years. Soon after I enlisted in the U.S. Army, when I spent a year in Korea (studied another year of Tae Kwon Do), followed by 5 years in Fort Lee, Virginia working for a Software Development Center. After completing six years in the military, I spent some time working for a civilian surveillance camera company.

The last 8 years I have been working for a major U.S. Defense contractor as an Information Systems Security Manager, and more recently a Software Build/Release Engineer. I have also spent the past several years studying American Kenpo Karate, and also taught martial arts to 4-13 year old children.

Along the way I also picked up an Associates Degree in Graphic Design and a Bachelors in Marketing Management.

After spending time with my family, I am devoting a great deal of time trying to help others by supplying education and products to those wishing to protect themselves and their families.
