I'm Tipi the Tipigal, and I live in Fargo, North Dakota. I got my nickname from living in a Sioux style tipi (pictured). I am an artist and love to create things, coloring and painting with colored pencils is a fun pass-time for me. It is relaxing and therapeutic to create designs with colors. Its great for all ages from kids to adults, and a fun family activity or school project.

I have always loved Native American Art and decorating that tells a story to represent something or someone. The American Indians used a lot of bright colors and earth tone colors, and I like them all. You will find some beautiful coloring pages here to paint or color, and I have found some paper crafts Native American coloring books to display.
The above coloring page is an illustration of the Eagle Dance being performed by a Native American in full ceremonial costume. This dance for freedom is still performed in the sun. It is beautiful to see the shadows on the ground as the dancers move about like Bald Eagles.

Sitting Bull
Sitting Bull led his people into Canada, where they suffered from the harsh elements. He surrendered in July of 1881. He joined in the Buffalo Bill Cody traveling Wild West Show for a several months in 1885. He was criticized by some for being a stereotype, but it is also thought that Chief Sitting Bull was using this opportunity to speak for the nations. He return to Standing Rock in 1883. He approved of the Ghost Dance movement, but did not join it. The fear of the government was the cause of his kidnapping and murder on December 15, 1890, because they thought Sitting Bull would lead an Indian uprising.

Being a Squidoo lensmaster is a lot of work to be successful. I have created over 170 lenses (web-pages) and I am living on my Squidoo income, which is enough for me. - Coloring books are very underrated because my first memories of learning are from coloring books. The first place I ever saw a Hippo? Coloring book. Giraffe? Same thing. Coloring books are a great way to perk your child's interest in things and also to teach them about things.
