Lens Review

Lens Review is really doing good, especially when I just wanted to check on the rankings of the reviewed lenses and it was found that their ranks improved, here are some simple examples:

"Simple Travel Tips" ranked at 3,759 in 'Travel' with the an overall rank of of 111,331 at review time, now it is 1,704 in 'Travel' with an overall rank of 52,720.

"How to Live Longer and Feel Better" ranked at 7,923 in 'Health' with an overall rank of 81,235 at review time, now it is 5,206 in 'Health' with an overall rank of 53,698.

The efforts the lensmasters are doing to improve their lenses are great and continuous and definitly will improve the rankings, however, having the links to their lenses here and on other lenses will definitly give it a push in rankings, it will show popularity of these lenses.

So, this is just another good example to show that squidoo.com/lensreview is Rockin'.

"Buy Online Rockets Playoff T-shirts, Gear and Mo" created by writeonbro ranked 1,706 in Sports with an overall rank of 42,379 at review date.

First of all, the ranking of this lens is not bad at all, it gives me a sense that keyword tuning and other hard work and homework had been done and translated into this good rankings.

The lens title, I see the lens title incomplete this "and Mo" at the end is not helping, if you are limited with characters length, you should have substituted this with a comma and other relevant word of four letters (might be a bit difficult, right?). But, this way I see it incomplete.

The lens is smartly designed and the flow of modules makes sense and flows in harmony, and there is good relevant content, though there is a room for enriching it. As for the text module titled "Buy Rockets T-Shirts and Jerseys Online " I think if you changed it with the sub title "Watch out for the fakes" I think you would have introduced more variety of topics to the lens instead of showing all content as centered around just 'Buying'.

Searching key words at Squidoo (with a Sort By: Default) resulted in having this lens at very good ranks. For example:
Searching "rockets tshirts" resulted in rank 2 for this lens in search results.
Searching "rockets" resulted in rank 3 for this lens in search result.
Searching "'buy online tshirts" resulted in rank 13 for this lens in search results.

Searching for "rockets t-shirts" at Google, showed the lens at 23 among search results, and searching for "buy rockets t-shirts" the lens url showed at 25th rank in search results, but when "online rockets" was searched the lens was ranked at the 10th position.

Somehow, better results were returned from Yahoo. Searching for "rockets t-shirts" at Yahoo, showed the lens at 6 among search results, searching for "buy rockets t-shirts" gave the first rank in search results, but when "online rockets" was searched the lens was ranked at the 38th position.

This lens is really fit and strongly present on search engines.

"Amorsiko.com: eBay the Pinoy Way" created by Portable_eBay ranked 4,531 in How-To with an overall rank of 43,326 at review time.

Very informative lens, and capable of delivering the needed information regarding the topic. Content is full of articles discussing several aspects of the subject matter. However, most sections of the lens is linking to one url which is: http://www.amorsiko.com, this URL appeared eight times on the lens. It is more preferable to have other links, the lens need to lead to other resources.

Due to the vast number of websites (and lenses) related to eBay the keywords that will be tested for search results will be mainly "portable ebay", "amorsiko" and "squidoo amorsiko" in order to have more fair results.

Searching key words at Squidoo resulted in having this lens at very good ranks. For example:
Searching "portable ebay" resulted in rank 2 for this lens in search results
Searching "amorsiko" resulted in rank 1 for this lens in search results (it was the only lens shown for this key word)

Searching for "portable ebay" at Google, showed the lens at 39 among search results, and searching for "amorsiko" the lens url showed at 7th rank in search results, but when "squidoo amorsiko" was searched the lens was ranked at the first position.

Different results were returned from Yahoo, searching for "portable ebay", "amorsiko" and "squidoo amorsiko" did not lead to the lens among the first 50 search results.

This lens is really fit and very good source of info. More work is needed to enrich it with more links and listing it on Yahoo (by enhancing the tags).

"Read Aloud Books for Families" created by slotowngal ranked 821 in Family with an overall rank of 25,079 at review time.

Very Rich lens, and with rich I mean this lens is capable of delivering a great deal of information regarding the topic. Content is full of articles, references, news links, other resources and shopping guides and more. One can spend a great deal of time enjoying reading the stuff and learning more. The lens also creates good vibes so far, it was rated by six visitors with Five Stars and three visitors had favored it ... this is another evidence that this lens is outstanding.

Searching several (but related) key words at Squidoo resulted in having this lens at very good ranks. For example:

Searching "reading aloud" resulted in rank 1 for this lens in search results

Searching "reading family" resulted in rank 2 for this lens in search results

Even searching "aloud" alone resulted also in rank 2 for this lens

Searching for "read aloud books for families" at Google, could not show me this lens in the first 50 results, but when I added the word "squidoo" the lensmaster page was shown at rank one, however, could not get the lens URL in the first 50 search results, I have to admit that this topic is there on the web like jungle many many websites, however, submitting the lens URL directly to Google will help.

Different results were returned from Yahoo, searching for "read aloud books for families" resulted in having this lens ranked at number one, searching for "aloud for families" resulted in a rank of 16 while searching "read aloud books" resulted in having it at 41 in search results!

This lens is really fit, rich and great source of info.
