This was once Lesson 8 of an ongoing series on learning how to play drums.
But not anymore.
The whole series has been pulled apart, kicked around, reworked, put back together, whispered sweet nothings, given a back rub and published somewhere else.
You'll find out where that somewhere else is real soon.
Drums and Drumming
Up until now far we had published 7 complete lessons. These were easy to follow tutorials for absolute beginners to drums and drumming. If you followed these tutorials at your own pace and you had a pinch of rhythmic ability you would have noticed how quickly it was to hold a steady beat.
You probably came here via the Drums and Drumming Introduction and the subsequent lessons. What I want you to do is go to the new improved course.
They're better planned and presented. But still 100% free.
Practice, practice, practice!

- I really enjoyed this series of lenses. I was given my dad's kit which is an antique ludwig set when he bought a new pearl set. I have piddled around, can play some basic beats, but my apartment won't house my set and my children anymore so I had to choose. I can't wait to get back to it. I'm glad you took the time out to do this!

- An antique Ludwig! I'm jealous!
A friend of mine bought one years ago and got me to teach him. It had a beautiful sound.
