Lesson 8 of an ongoing series on learning how to play drums. In this lesson we hand the class over to YOU.
That's right.
When practicing have you come up with a nifty beat? Care to document and share it?
Drums and Drumming
So far we have published 7 complete lessons.These easy to follow tutorials are for absolute beginners to drums and drumming. If you follow these tutorials at your own pace and you have a pinch of rhythmic ability before too long you will be able to hold a steady beat.
You probably came here via the Drums and Drumming Introduction and the subsequent lessons. If not, go there now, otherwise none of what will be posted here will make sense to you.
If you've written your own drum beats in the method I've described you can contact me and I'll post them for others to learn and practice.

Here's me on a Sleishman. I've even had the pleasure of meeting Mr Sleishman himself.
Have you come up with your own beats?
Remember which bits meant what?
C = Crash Cymbal
Rd = Ride Cymbal
H = HiHat Cymbal
S = Snare
B = Bass
* = right hand
x = left hand
o = right foot
Add your beats according to the way its set out in the Drums and Drumming lens if you need a reminder.

And send it in via my Contact Form.
You could be giving lesson number 9!
And we'll mention your name. If you want to take a photo of yourself to accompany the lesson then we can do that too!
Practice, practice, practice!
