It has been widely said that children can pick up a new language faster and more efficiently than adults, but guess what? It's simply not true at all.

Yeah, two years, and I was done. I just couldn't take the rigors of language training, when I was more worried about the pretty girl sitting across from me with the short skirt on!

It is simply false that that younger children learn a new language more easily and quickly than adults, however, children are exposed to a more brain-compatible learning environment for learning a language than adults are in schools. This is one of the main reasons as to why they can pick up languages better than adults in some cases.

Research has shown that it typically takes approximately three months of study at the foreign service institute for an adult to become officially proficient in a foreign language such as Spanish.

Never fear! There are tons of great courses out there that can have you speaking fluent and confident Spanish a lot sooner than that! As a matter of fact, if you're dedicated and up for the task, some programs will go as far as guaranteeing results in a matter of weeks!

Again, whether you simply need to know Spanish for an upcoming vacation, maybe a business trip to a Spanish speaking country, or maybe your the new love of your life is a Spanish speaking native - you need to learn it. It will, at some point, stand a good chance at overtaking the English language in the United States! It may sound crazy, and you may not agree with it, but it's time to get real and realize that speaking Spanish will probably be your best bet at most types of career and life enhancements.
