This is Lesson Two of the Drum Tutorial I have written. It's for absolute beginners to drums and drumming. An easy and understandable way for people to learn how to play the drums. If you follow these tutorials at your own pace and you have a pinch of rhythmic ability before too long you will be able to hold a steady beat. If you haven't read it yet you better head over there now. Otherwise none of this will make sense to you. And now on to lesson two...

Drawbacks of being a drummer

The thought process behind being a drummer

  • You have the most gear to lug to a gig.

Though given your dynamic personality it won't be long before guys are volunteering to be your roadie and do all the carrying for you.

  • You get complaints from neighbours for playing loud.

You'll have to learn control so you can play softer, not too late at night or early in the morning. And if you get an expensive electric kit you can plug in headphones.

  • You'll drive your parents crazy.

Okay, so maybe this isn't a drawback.
