Harvesting Your Lettuce Garden

Harvest time for your lettuce garden is the best! I use a regular paper cutting scissor and give my salad a "hair cut". The lettuce garden will continue to grow all the way to Christmas time if you are careful not to cut all the way to the dirt.

This type of fresh salad is so tasty that I never drown it in heavy salad dressings. I top the salad with fresh ground black peppercorn, grated Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.

This salad is great to serve to your guests. Only the finest restaurants in town can come close to this kind of fresh lettuce!
