Special Recognition of Level 80 Lensmasters

After publishing my Special Recognition lens, I decided that lensmasters who achieved Level 80 also needed to be recognized. Since that lens was already quite long, and because of the large number of lensmasters who've reached Level 80, I decided to create this lens just for them.

So how many points does it take to reach Level 80? It's an eye-popping total of 145,000 points! That's a lot of points ... it might even seem impossible to reach. But the nearly 150 lensmasters featured below *have* achieved Level 80. It definitely didn't happen overnight. Usually it takes over a year to achieve.

So how do you earn 145,000 points? One point at a time! (Sorry, couldn't help but think of the "how do you eat an elephant" joke.) Seriously, Squidoo awards points for lots of different activities within the Squidoo community. So which activities are "best" point-wise to earn 145,000 points?

~ At 80 points each, you'd have to publish 1,813 lenses.
~ At 5 points each, you'd have to answer 29,000 quiz questions.
~ At 4 points each, you'd have to Facebook like 36,250 lenses.
~ At 2 points each, you'd have to answer 72,500 poll questions, or leave 72,500 comments, or SquidLike 72,500 lenses.

No single activity is the "best" way to go. What you want to do is build quality lenses so that other lensmasters want to participate on your lenses. And you should also participate on other lensmasters' lenses ... which will often lead to them visiting and participating on your lenses. Squidoo, after all, is a community. What combination of activities you choose to do to reach your goals is entirely up to you.

DISCLAIMER: I've researched many hundreds of lensmaster bio pages to find the lensmasters featured below. Squidoo's Level 80 monsterboard only lists the most active lensmasters, not the most recent to achieve Level 80. So if I've missed you, please contact me with your lensmaster name. I'll do my best to keep this lens up-to-date, but your help in letting me know of any omissions will be greatly appreciated.

I've divided the featured lensmasters by letters of the alphabet to aid viewing and updating. There are a few letters not listed; this just means that I haven't found any qualifying lensmasters for that letter.

    I am currently at level 57 with just over 36000 points. My Mulligan Golf site is getting the most visits, but my others are also active. I had fun making my two quiz lenses and may do a few more of those on Spanish and Golf. I have to get more focused and make more lenses. Loved seeing those who have made this fabulous achievement. Congratulations to all.

    I need 851,481 points until I reach 81 - that feels a little like 'points without end'! Maybe we will get some 1,000 point quests someday :) Honoured to be in such great company here!
