A future F1 champion?
At the age of 13 Lewis Hamilton was spotted as an exceptional karting talent by Ron Dennis, CEO of McLaren Formula One. He was signed to the McLaren Driver Development Program and became historic as the youngest driver ever to be signed by a Formula 1 team.
With the backing of McLaren Hamilton went up the motorsports ladder winning championships in the process and in 2006 he was confirmed at the McLaren Formula 1 team for 2007 alongside two-times World Champion Fernando Alonso.
