The Ancient Art of Lexigram Divination!
Bringing The Ancient Methods into Our Age!

Teachings in the last decades of the 20th. Century pulled away from the Ancient
Gnosis and power of words, spoken, heard, and written.
The Earth was once thought to flat.
The Sun was once thought to revolve around the Earth.
Most know better now!
The same goes for the popular misinformation and misconceptions
about Lexigramming and Anagramming being promoted,
which are unlike
True Lexigramming by the Ancient Method which predates any
method devised and promoted in the last decades of the 20th. century and still
being promoted in the 21st. century.
Welcome to Lexigrams and Lexigramming for everyone
without arbitrary unproven limits and Anglocentric mindsets.
No alterations of the sources of the Name, phrase, or date being
Lexigrammatcally Divined live here in the Ancient Method of Lexigramming.
Any name, phrase, date etcetera can be Lexigrammed
contrary to the teachings of those not following the
Ancient Method of Lexigramming and Anagramming.
No letters are ever excluded from the source.
No letters are ever added that are not found within the source.
Many folks heard about Lexigrams by way of Linda Goodman's
chapter....not a book...about her personal experiences with discovering them.
The word LEXIGRAM was already being used in ape/primate communication studies
before she then later applied the term to this free form style of word play.

This form of word play has been around as long as Anagramming, which is thought to have "officially" begun with the Greek poet Lycophron. History
Lexigramming was however, most likely, already a popular past time, which Lycophron simply documented and is thereby remembered for it.

My family called it; as far back as anyone remembered, back to the 1800s:

LEXAGRAMMES and LEXAGRAMMING.
My partner's family called it for at least as far back as the early 1900s:
LEXAGRAMS and LEXAGRAMMING.
A friend who would be over 110 years old if she were alive today..
called it:
NAME/WORD SCRAMBLE...(not SCRABBLE.)
Other names I have heard (there are more)Lexigramming called by oldtimers are:
NAME FRENZY
BREAKOUT WORDS
MYSTERY WORDS
DECODER
SHAKEUPWORDS
...(a homemade game where pennies with letters marked on them are put in a jar or can, shook, dumped, then each player takes 50 tiles or lettered pennies and sees who can get the most words the fastest. There are two ways to play, and if anyone is interested I will describe it.

About Lexigrams

I have been Lexigramming and Anagramming for over 4 decades to date. I learned how from my great grandparents. Many new and other ways have come to my attention since then. However the way I was taught is the easiest way I have yet encountered to date. Many games of Anagramming using vintage early 1900s letter tiles and boards were a part of my childhood in the 1950s and 1960s. Scrabble was a later passion as the old Anagram games wore out from frequent use. My partner is as passionate as I am about the art of and yes, the science and even mystery of Lexigramming and Anagramming. He learned of them at a very young age from his grandmother, and has been doing them for over 3 decades. So between us is over 70 years Lexigramming and Anagramming experience. I have been reading dictionaries etcetera for pleasure for over 47 years to date!____________________________________
