Make sure that you know EXACTLY which printer model you have. With this knowledge in hand, you can find the printer cartridge or cartridges that is compatible with it.

What Did You Select for the Poll?
You'll need to look into buying them as soon as possible, just in case your existing starter cartridge runs out. Of course, there are plenty of options where to buy them, but my favorite place is on the internet!
Make Sure Your Printing is of the Highest Quality
But, here are some more tips to make sure your printing is the best it can be:
Choose the Right Paper. Not all paper is created equal. Quality varies depending on what you need to do. Make sure you choose the type of paper that fits your project the best.
Don't Let it Die. There's nothing worse than an ink jet cartridge that is about to lose its ink. Don't let it get to that point - replace it just before that happens.
Have Several On Hand. What if you were printing up a special report, and the cartridge ran out of ink halfway through? Unless you have more on hand, your project will be on hold.

- Keep some on hand. You'll definitely want to buy enough ink cartridges so you can have extras. This is because you don't want them to run out at an inconvenient time.
- Compatibility. If the cartridge isn't compatible with your printer, it won't work. Double check the type of printer you have with the cartridge you want to buy.
- Great quality. The great thing about ink jet printers is that you can print things with a good amount of quality. For extra insurance, make sure you set the properties so that the highest quality is getting printed. Only do this if the document is really important, however. Otherwise you'll need to replace the cartridge too often. The normal setting is more than adequate for every day print jobs.
