Lexus LFA: The Late Great MKIV Supra Inspired Supercar
Introducing the Lexus LFA. This has been a long time coming for those of us in the car community.
Ever since Toyota stopped producing the Mark IV Supra, or MKIV, car enthusiasts have been hoping they would produce another tuner car. The 1993-1998 Supra has been legendary in it's nearly unequaled durability, mainly in horsepower and drag racing.
Well, from the MKIV Supra to the Lexus LFA, it is an understatement to say they went overboard. They not only produced a supercar, that retails for over a quarter million dollars, but they made a masterpiece. Every detail on this car is mind blowing. And the performance is up there with the fastest production cars on the planet, which the LFA is close in all around performance to being the best all around performing of them all.

They shouldn't mess with something that works, you can't replace the Supra
Lexus LFA: Supra Ancestor
You may be wondering how the Lexus LFA ties in with the Toyota MKIV Supra. First off Lexus and Toyota are synonymous, even if they tell you they're not, although each does some of their own manufacturing, Lexus was birthed out of Toyota, as was Acura out of Honda. Additionally Scion came out of Toyota, and this has an important aspect in this.
Rumor started a few years back about the return of the Supra, and the NSX for that matter...ahem Honda. Anyways, as the new Skyline was released by Nissan, now called the GTR, whispers were also heard about there being a new Supra. Well this concept branched out, and what we ended up with is the Lexus LFA and Toyota and Subaru put their heads together to create the FT86 concept, which now may be released by Scion, along with a Subaru version being a typically 2.5 liter awd version, which seems to take some of the originality out. The FT86 is a 4 cylinder turbo tuner car, 2.0 liter rwd, now that's what I'm talkin about, as the LFA is a 10 cylinder 9000 rpm revving supercar that costs over a quarter million dollars, so as you can see, they branched out

Carbon Fiber Loom
The use one of two in the world carbon fiber looms for the chassis of the LFA. This would explain some of the high cost, as this was built with meticulous precision to detail. Over half the body mass is made of CFRP, or carbon-fiber reinforced polymer, which is aeronautical grade, and is made stronger than aluminum, and weighs even less.
